THEME

I’m doing two different series at once and this is sort of like a warm up.
More on that later!
Here’s some process photos.

Though it may not look it, I used a bunch of stuff on this quickie.

  • oil pastels
  • linseed oil stain
  • oil stick
  • colored pencil
  • graphite

This was a fun and interesting process!
Stay tuned~~

Mkay, so here’s an end of the year dump.
Some of these were school assignments and some were personal assignments, and mhm.

Thanks for following, and I hope you enjoy seeing my stuffs!
Also, I upload a lot of little bits, bobs, and sketches on my instagram
Check it out!

This is an incredible painting!

why thank you sir!

Interesting experience this was.
I’ve been having problems dealing with stress (from problems I’ve caused) including not being able to really paint. It’s been weird. Not sure I’m completely done freaking out, but this is the first decent painting I’ve painted in a while.
What’s been most difficult with my painting class has been trying to please my instructor (which he explicitly told us not to do) and sort of reacquainting myself with my artistic process (a process that, throughout the school year has somehow/for some reason been extinguished and thrown to the fucking the wind) and at what point I can stop, look at what I’ve made and decide it’s good.
Stress and anxiety has a way of getting me to question everything, and it just fucking snowballs out of control.

I find myself making the best art when I don’t think at all *see above*
It’s the most genuine I’ve been in a few months, the longest my brain’s been quiet, and the result has me made happiest I’ve been in a minute.
This piece is actually based off of a konte drawing I did a couple of weeks back but if this isn’t the most accurate representation of how I felt then and now then I don’t know what is.
